Lawn Aeration Prices in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast: What Changes the Quote

October 2026 · By Stump Boss

Aeration pricing depends on more than how big the lawn is. Here’s what changes the number, and why the honest answer to “how much?” is that it depends on your site.

What changes the price

Site conditions. The condition and layout of the site is what a job is priced on. A flat, obstacle free lawn is quicker to aerate than one with a slope, garden beds cutting across it, or trees and other obstacles the machine has to work around.

One big area or lots of small ones. A single open lawn is a different job to the same total area split into many small patches. Total area does come into it, but it is only part of the price.

Aeration method. Core aeration removes a plug of ground, which lets amendments get into the soil. Spike tines don’t disrupt the surface as much. Which suits a lawn depends on the soil and how compacted it is, covered in core vs spike aeration for SEQ clay soils.

Why there is no price list here

Stump Boss gives every lawn its own quote, based on the site, rather than publishing set prices or a minimum charge. Every job is different, and a minimum on a web page can put someone off before they have heard what their own job would cost.

Getting an accurate number for your lawn

Lawn size, layout and access all change the real number for a specific yard. Sending a few photos and a rough idea of the lawn’s size gets a far more useful answer than a phone estimate alone.

Send a few photos for a quote and get a proper number for your lawn.
